Halloweelection is Coming to The P.I. Universe

Two very important dates are rapidly approaching; I speak of Halloween and the Presidential Election.
We have a little treat coming to all of you…
Flying LlamaFish and I have brought proposals to the P.I. Council, asking permission to hold Halloweelection (hal-uh-wee-lek-shen). Hani and the rest of the council voted in favor of it; though Octavius almost voted it down.
Beginning on October 20th and culminating on November 5th, the flood gates will open and those brave enough to endure will soak in the elixir of immortality, also known as the P.I. Universe.
On each and every one of these 15 days, an entry will be posted on one of two themes:
1. Halloween
2. Presidential Election
We chose to commemorate these two festive days, because we can.
In the midst of these posts, an election will be held. It is vital that you vote and contribute. The P.I. Universe is counting on you. What…? You thought the P.I. Universe existed without leaders running it? We may be pretty relaxed here, but we’re not anarchists.
If you want to learn more about the upcoming Election, here in the P.I. Universe, you’ll just have to be here when it all goes down… now won’t you?
Each of the 15 posts will begin showing at 12:01 AM Eastern Standard time starting on October 20th. In order to simplify this all a bit more, I will provide release times for some well-known earth cities:

London, United Kingdom: 5:01 AM

Tokyo, Japan: 1:01 PM

Perth, Australia: 12:01 PM

Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea: 2:01 PM
Please mark the event down in your calendar. To miss Halloweelection would be to live a life that is not lived to the fullest.
Please tell everyone you know. Tell your friends. Tell your children. Tell your family. Yes, even tell strangers you see on the street.
Tell everyone.

Hi Bamboo and Flying Llama fish,
I love the concept of combining both Halloween and the election of 2008- Both really scary!!
This will be SO fun seeing what you have to offer for the next 15 days!
You have my attention!
Don’t be too hard on Octavius- I think he lives in the confines of his own little world!

Halloween is my second favorite holiday (right after Christmas) and I’m a CNN junkie so I’m up on every last detail of the election. Therefore, it sounds like this blog is going to be a good place to hang out for the next 15 days

Do I get these days off from work. I’ll have to stand in the wings and watch.
I’m scared of Halloween and well the election too.

Wouldn’t it be great if We the People could get the Great Pumpkin Bush to paint the White House orange for this most auspicious occasion?!
October 21st, 2008 at 12:51 am
@ Natural: It would be appropriate for you to have these days off, in light of this festive occasion.
@ Tabbie: The White House being painted orange in honor of Halloweelection would be most appropriate.

Guys–I love this idea. Love it.
Should be a lot of fun.
By the way, Flying LlamaFish, are you still on that Mountain Dew and Bloomin Onion diet? How’d that work out?
