There's Always Hope and Here's Why « Pun Intended
Written by Bamboo Forest

Today I was graced by a truly heart warming story. The kind of story that makes you feel as if you’re being blanketed by legions of naked angel babies radiating pure joy.

There’s Hope

A 14 year-old boy managed to walk into the Grand Crossing District station, 7040 S. Cottage Grove., dressed in a Chicago police uniform.  At 1.30 p.m. the boy showed up for duty and partnered with another police officer for about five hours.

From the news page:” The boy identified himself as an officer from another district but was detailed for the day to Grand Crossing and also was savvy enough to sign out a police radio and a ticket book, according to a source. The source also said the boy went on traffic stops with the officer he went on the street with.

Bond said the boy “did not write tickets” and said there was “no information to indicate that he [was] ever behind the wheel (Source).”

To be honest, I remain unconvinced the young chap never wrote any tickets or ever got behind the wheel. I mean, with all due deference, you guys were hoodwinked by a boy going into the second of his teenage years.

All that put aside, this story really does teach us all a very powerful lesson. And that is:

Anything’s possible.

If a 14-year-old boy can become a police officer for a day, getting away with it – then Pun Intended can surely garner 10,000 + subscribers.

I want you all to take away from this story some inspiration. To remind yourselves that whatever it is you seek – there is always hope.

  10. My husband works on a university campus. I swear the freshmen look younger every year. Maybe the cops were all just as old as I am and said the same thing about the boy. *smile*

Best wishes on a robust subscriber level!
