There have been 43 U.S. Presidents.
Some have been natural born leaders. Some have been brilliant thinkers and problem solvers. Others were simply blessed with fun names.
Like the elected Presidents before me, I yearn to have an impact on the world. I shall do this by rating the Top 7 Fun U.S. Presidential Names.
So here it goes…
1. Herbert Hoover
His first name was Herbert. His last name was Hoover. Need I say more? Although he was President when the Great Depression arrived, his name has the power to make even the most depressed Emo Kid feel joyous inside.
2. Millard Fillmore
Millard Millard Millard… What can I say about Mr. Millard? I would vote for a man named Millard, whether I agreed with his ideology or not.
3. Calvin Coolidge
The name’s Coolidge. Calvin Coolidge. If only James Bond had such a glorious name…
4. James A. Garfield
I’m glad Garfield and friends managed to become the leaders of the free world.
5. Grover Cleveland
Take one part Sesame Street, and one part Ohio. Put them together, and you have yourself one fun Presidential name.
6. Ulysses S. Grant
You would have to be missing a few chromosomes to mess with a man named Ulysses.
7. Chester A. Arthur
His mother and father made an excellent choice.
Honorable Mentions:
Woodrow Wilson
Rutherford B. Hayes
Dwight D. Eisenhower
Brought to you by Day 1 of Halloweelection

It will be wonderful if you get elected…lol!!
Haha great post dude. I love #7, Chester A. Arthur.
Hey will you vote on my poll? http://www.misterpoll.com/polls/362884
It’s hard to get better than Dwight.
Hi Flying Llama Fish – With all of these names sounding so “solid”, it’s hard to pick a favorite, although “Ulysses” is a fun one to say.
Grover Cleveland…that is one cool name! Jim Eh Cort Er (you gotta say it fast to make it sound right) is kinda cool too.
Great list. Personally I always loved the name, Woodrow Wilson. The first time I heard about him, I thought it was a joke. I couldn’t believe a President had that name. And now I see there once was a Millard Fillmore I agree; I’d vote for anyone named Millard!
Kelly
I guess when you’re naming your child you should ask yourself whether the name sounds presidential, just in case they ever make it to the White House
Evelyn Lim: Thank you!
Phillip J. Hines: Thanks! Chester is definitely quite the name. I took the poll senor.
Writer Dad: Dwight is a very presidential name for sure.
Barbara Swafford. It is difficult indeed, but Ulysses is pretty hard to beat.
Tabbie: I admire Grover Cleveland’s parents.
Kelly: Thank you. I am glad you can appreciate the importance of the president having a fun name!
Marelisa: I agree completely!
Funny post!– I know someone who was miscalled Chester! -and it always made me laugh- can you believe anyone in this day and age would call his son Chester?–
I also know someone who was called Grover-If you truly loved your child- would you name them Grover-I would call a dog Grover- sorta rhymes with Rover!- I guess it would be the same kind of parent that would name a daughter Edna Mae, but oh yeah- I remember – she legally changed her name when she turned 21!
I guess if your nickname is Shorty- Grover Krebs and Edna Mae seem pretty mainstream!
But then on the other hand- can you imagine a president named Bamboo Forest- or Flying LLama Fish?
Calvin Coolidge is so hip sounding! Imagine voting for a Calvin today! I know a Calvin and he’s a pretty cool guy. Thanks for the chuckles.
Patti: Thanks! Those are some fun names. If a presidential candidate were named Bamboo Forest or Flying LlamaFish, they would easily cruise to victory solely on the merits of their names!
Tom Volkar: My pleasure. I would certainly vote for anyone named Calvin!
