Patti: Thanks! Those are some fun names. If a presidential candidate were named Bamboo Forest or Flying LlamaFish, they would easily cruise to victory solely on the merits of their names!

Tom Volkar: My pleasure. I would certainly vote for anyone named Calvin!

Calvin Coolidge is so hip sounding! Imagine voting for a Calvin today! I know a Calvin and he's a pretty cool guy. Thanks for the chuckles.

Funny post!-- I know someone who was miscalled Chester! -and it always made me laugh- can you believe anyone in this day and age would call his son Chester?--
I also know someone who was called Grover-If you truly loved your child- would you name them Grover-I would call a dog Grover- sorta rhymes with Rover!- I guess it would be the same kind of parent that would name a daughter Edna Mae, but oh yeah- I remember - she legally changed her name when she turned 21!
I guess if your nickname is Shorty- Grover Krebs and Edna Mae seem pretty mainstream!
But then on the other hand- can you imagine a president named Bamboo Forest- or Flying LLama Fish?

Evelyn Lim: Thank you!

Phillip J. Hines: Thanks! Chester is definitely quite the name. I took the poll senor.

Writer Dad: Dwight is a very presidential name for sure.

Barbara Swafford. It is difficult indeed, but Ulysses is pretty hard to beat.

Tabbie: I admire Grover Cleveland's parents.

Kelly: Thank you. I am glad you can appreciate the importance of the president having a fun name!

Marelisa: I agree completely!

I guess when you're naming your child you should ask yourself whether the name sounds presidential, just in case they ever make it to the White House :-)

Great list. Personally I always loved the name, Woodrow Wilson. The first time I heard about him, I thought it was a joke. I couldn't believe a President had that name. And now I see there once was a Millard Fillmore I agree; I'd vote for anyone named Millard!

Hi Flying Llama Fish - With all of these names sounding so "solid", it's hard to pick a favorite, although "Ulysses" is a fun one to say.
